Temporary Relocation of Marshall County Court Services
The Marshall County Clerk of Court Office is temporarily relocated effective Tuesday, July 24, 2018, until the courthouse reopens. The Marshall County Clerk’s civil division will process cases in the Story County Clerk of Court Office, 1315 South B Avenue, Nevada. The Marshall County Clerk’s criminal division will process cases in the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, 2369 Jessup Avenue, Marshalltown.
All other Marshall County Clerk of Court business will be conducted at the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office until the courthouse reopens. Fines and other court financial obligations may be paid online at iowacourts.gov or at the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office on the third floor of the administrative division.
Initial criminal court appearances, magistrate court proceedings, district associate court proceedings, juvenile court proceedings, substance abuse and mental health commitments, and small claims proceedings will take place at the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, 2369 Jessup Avenue, Marshalltown, until the courthouse reopens.
Magistrate court Rocket Docket proceedings scheduled Friday July 27, 2018, are cancelled. Litigants will be notified concerning rescheduled Court dates by Court Order.
Marshall County District Court proceedings (criminal and civil) will be moved to a temporary location once a site has been located.
All questions or calls concerning court proceedings or other court business may be made to the Clerk of Court’s office at 641-844-2802.
Beginning Wednesday, July 25, Juvenile Court Services in Marshall County will return to the second floor of the Masonic Temple Building, 26 S. 1st Ave., suite 205. Juvenile Court Services in Marshall County can be contacted at 641-753-3481. Please check with your Juvenile Court Officer in regards to any court hearing.
The Marshalltown Probation Office is temporarily relocated to the Marshalltown Residential Center, 1401 South 17th Avenue, and can be contacted at 641-753-5571.
